Hello,
I have a form ProdSetupStartup which is called by menuitem ProdSetupStartup. I have a user role who has got a duty which in turn has got a privilege which gives Delete access to this menuitem. For some unknown reason this form is completely not editable for the user. It's grayed out. For admin role this form is editable. Could you pls tell how to debug such issues as I even don't have a clue.
Thanks.
Hi Azat,
Is the privilege for the form customized or is it a standard OOB privilege?
Hi Azat Mukhametzyanov ,
What duty did you assign to users?
ProdProductionOrderMaintain or ProjProjectItemTasksMaintain or ProdProductionOrderFeedbackMaintain ?
Hi Gunjan,
The privilege for the form is customized
Hi
The customized privelege is added to the customized duty - ProdProductionOrderFeedbackForeman which is most likely a copy of OOB privelege ProdProductionOrderFeedbackMaintain
Try to apply ProdProductionOrderFeedbackMaintain to your users to see if it works.
Does the user have rights to edit production orders? If yes, then he/she should have edit permissions to this form.
You can also try giving "Delete" permissions for ProdParmStartup table under the Permissions node in the Security privilege and check if that works.
Have compared customized duty - ProdProductionOrderFeedbackForeman and OOB duty - ProdProductionOrderFeedbackMaintain
and I see the only difference in one privilege. All other privileges are the same.
Also Update access is given to the ProdParmStartup table under the permissions node in the customized security privelege.
Also I have compared customized and OOB privilege and they look exactly the same except of that Update access is given to
ProdParmStartup table in the customized privilege
Also when I go to Production Control - Production Odrers the button edit in the action pane is accessible and I can edit some properties of the order.
When you click on the Start button from Production orders, are you able to edit values in this form?
giving "Delete" permissions for ProdParmStartup table under the Permissions node has resolved the issue. Thanks a lot but it's strange that Update permission was insufficient. As I see it it has to be sufficient to have edit access to the table.
