Hi,
We are sending GDPR messages to our customer as part of that message we have a link in email template "Update your marketing Preferences", essentially when clicked it takes user to a page where simply it is asked "Would you like to Unsubscribe from Marketeing Communication" and yes/No answer is stored in CRM against contact accordingly(mapped from survey response) as Okay for Marketing(Yes/No). So the contact is filtered from future Marketing.
However looking at Dynamics 365 customer voice it enforces to add a standard "Unsubscribe link" in the email otherwise that won't be published/allowed to be sent. Now for our needs above is enough and we are wondering if it is mandatory by the system then we redirect this standard link to the above survey page(which is our preferences page)?
I understand this system required unsubscribe link creates an different Unsubscribe record in the system hence preventing future communication with the contact whereas our marketing list will be filtered from the preference stored on contact record.
Any thoughts on preventing unsubscribe link on multiple places will be appreciated.
Thanks
