Mapping "hidden fields" on LinkedIn LeadGen Forms to 365 Marketing (lookup) fields

Posted on by 45

Hi experts,

we are in our early stages of 365Marketing and are trying to sync our LinkedIn LeadGen forms in the best possible way. For that we were thinking of mapping 365 fields like source campaign, etc. so we have a better picture once the leads come in. We were told that field mapping only works with "free text" fields - is that still true? If so, is there another way of mapping this information, e.g. through a flow (if... then...)?

Right now the LinkedIn connection is great but it only allows a minimum of information to come through which is frustrating given the options LinkedIn offers with "hidden fields" on the LeadGen form.

Anyone with a similar challenge? Or is there a solution planned from Microsoft? We would highly appreciate any ideas or workarounds.

Thanks!! Susanne

    Hello everyone,

I'll give this another try in hope that the ever evolving enhancements in 365M will tackle this issue at some point.

Therefore I'll ask all you gurus out there again: Do you see any way how "hidden fields" in LinkedIn LeadGen forms can be mapped to CRM/365M "lookup" fields?

So that.... for example: the campaign name, enquiry source or things like that would automatically be mapped when the new lead is created in 365M. Right now the leads are coming in with lots of information missing. The pity is: we know all this information and would like to map it upfront but we don't know how.

Every idea/solution/brainstorm is welcome. I think this will apply to many users who are using 365M with the LinkedIn LeadGen forms.

    Thanks, Susanne

We have experienced the exact same issue. We need to add some hidden leadgen form fields and map them to custom form fields in our instance so our Leads can be processed.
    This does not seem possible.

To be this seems as i have 2 options:
    1. Export all Leadgen leads to excel, add missing field info and bulk import (hardly call it automation)
    2. Have semi-completed in Leads with just the standard leadgen fields that automatically create as a 365 Lead and have a manual process or for inside sales to compliment with missing data before completing or assigning the lead.

Either way, there doesn't seem to be a fully automated way to connect Linkedin Leadgen forms with 365M Leads.

Does no one else have the same problem and potentially found a solution to it?

Hi Leah, many thanks for your reply. I understand that the reply you referred to is related to 365 Marketing Forms but would not work with LinkedIn LeadGen forms I guess. So I am still looking specifically for a mapping possibility to the hidden fields on LinkedIn forms...
