Setting the taxes through the header. The salesHdr.USINGHEADERLEVELTAXES is set to 1;

Error Number = 8329  Stored Procedure= taSopHdrRecalc  Error Description = Tax table detail does not equal the tax amount - manual tax changes are not supported on Updates
Node Identifier Parameters: taSopHdrRecalc

    Hello KSGrapeVine,

    This is a limitation of eConnect, which is pointed out in the error. Here is what shows in the Programmers Guide:

    To use the tax engine, set the create taxes flag (CREATETAXES) element to 1 . If you are integrating your own taxes, set CREATETAXES to 0.

    Manual updates to taxes are not supported. If you attempt to manually update taxes, an error will occur and the transaction will fail. A future release of eConnect will include this functionality.

    This is found in the .chm version of the Programmers guide:

    [View:/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/32/eConnectProgrammersGuide.chm:320:240]

    At this time the functionality is being reviewed for a future release of GP. I would recommend finding another way to pull of your needed functionality.

    Thanks!

    Thanks Justin.

    Can I directly update it through SQL? What tables need to be updated in order to do so correctly?

    Hi KSGrapeVine,

    We wouldn't recommend updating through SQL, although perhaps the community has some experience doing so and can let you know how to best pull it off.

    Thanks!

    I have always let GP compute the sales taxes on the lines and then the final thing is create the order header. I believe this is the same way Integration Manager works. I have never tried to compute sales tax directly on the header as it always needs to match the sum of the lines. The solution has always been to invoke the GP sales tax engine.
