How to extend Dynamics 365 for Talent

I would like to know how to extend the functionality of Dynamics 365 for Talent, to integrate it with an external system that has an oData API.

I have searched for a VM image, but it only exists for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, sorry for the ignorance but I would like to understand if the development process is the same as the ERP.

    Talent is an SaaS solution, which means it's sealed from a development perspective. The oData API isn't available for integrating data to an external system. There is some availability today with the CDS. The entities in the CDS are a subset of what's available in Talent, but you could use Flow or Logic Apps to update the CDS which would update Talent.
