I would like to mark several customers as inactive, although these customers havent dealt with us for a while I would like to keep them on records

and easily be able to view what customers are inactive. Can anyone help?

You will need to write a custom report.

Easy to do:

1. Make sure that the Sales(lcy) flowfield is on your Customer list. May need to get a developer to add this.

2. Set a flowfilter on Sales(lcy) for, say the last 2 years.

3. Set a field filter on Sales(lcy) = 0

Viola, a list of customers with 0 sales in the last 2 years.

Highlight all and copy to Excel if desired.

If you do not wish to mess with the customer list, you could also run the table(18) in object designer and do the same steps there.

I was thinking simply Block them. Then you can filter on Blocked or Not Blocked.

Also, if blocked no transactions can be accidentally posted to these inactive accounts.

if you want to keep a date on the customer card on their last Invoice you can add a flowfield to the customer table.

Call it "Last Invoice Date" & the CalcFormula is :

Max("Cust. Ledger Entry"."Posting Date" WHERE (Document Type=FILTER(Invoice),Customer No.=FIELD(No.)))
