Project Accounting - Creating Project Contract Billing rules

I have a requirement to create for a Project contract billing rule, wherein, every month I need to recognize revenue on a specific day of the month for 24 months. This is for a 24 months contract, to which I need to invoice the customer every month the same amount.

Line Type: Milestone is used for milestone projects.

What line type should I use and how do I define every month billing such, my billing rules reflects automatically in on-account transactions table.

Every month invoicing is required for 24 months and it is not linked to any project milestone completion.

How do I accomplish this requirement?

Hi,

I assume that you are using a fixed price project, right?

The billing rule and the invoices that you create are only balance sheet transactions that do not influence your profit.

To recognize revenue, you have to run the estimate process, which clears your WIP accounts and recognizes costs and revenues.

You can run this process on a monthly basis to recognize and post the revenue.
