Adding dropdown options in a form

Hi team,

I'm looking to create and embed a form on my site. I've gone to 'form fields' and have started creating a new field and selected option set dropdown. However i can't find where I then create the drop down options for the user to choose from.

Looking at the Docs its says 'as defined by the database' but i have no idea what this means

Can you please clarify.

Dan

    Hi Dan,

It can be found in Advanced Settings > Settings > Customizations > Customize the system.

Expand the list of entities, find the entity you’d like to add the field into, click the Fields and New a field.

It can also be achieved in Power Apps if you’re not familiar with the old UI:

Please refer to the following link to know more about it:

Thanks, but how do i get to that first screen you posted? That's the part i'm unsure of and that doesn't seem to be documented.

RE: Adding dropdown options in a form

    Hi Dan,

The form fields need to be mapped with the fields from Contact or Lead entity. So it is necessary to create a custom field in the entity you’d like to map with if the existing fields cannot meet your request.

For example, I created a customer field in Contact entity, whose data type is Option Set.

After saving it, the form field can be created and mapped with the above field.

Then it can be inserted into a marketing form.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,
