Employee can't sumbit a leave request and get this message: The time off was not submitted successfully. The time off has been saved as a draft request.

Hi everyone. I need your help.

Just one employee can't submit a leave request, others can. When he open Time off request in application and tried to submite a leave request he gets the following message:

"The time off was not submitted successfully. The time off has been saved as a draft request."

When he does Inspect elements he gets the following message:

"Failed to create a session; confirm that the user has the proper privileges to log on to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations."

I check his role and he has Employee role as other employees.

Can you help me with this. How can i solve this?

Have you tried this ?

Ask the user to log out from FO and login back.

In addition, can we please have a screenshot of the form and the error.

Hi dz_ha,

You are trying to submit time off for more than one day. Can you please try to request Time off for one day?

If it does not work then please try below workaround.

1. First check worker leave type available balance

2. Remove the person for this user from the user form and assign again.

3. Remove the employee role from this user and assign employee role again.

4. If possible then try to give advance permission or role like manager for testing and check time off again.

Please let me know if above workaround works.

Hello Parag Chapre

I delete user from my user list and I tried to add that user again. I succeeded to import him, but I cant connect with employees / Person. I cant find that person on the list.

Did I do something wrong?

Maybe I had to remove relation between the user and the worker in the Maintain versions. But I don't do that. Is there any way I can fix it?

Can you please check whether that person is assigned to any user? If yes then remove the person from other user and add to new user.

Thank you for your answer.

No, that person is not assigned to other user. I check table User Person relationship I see that relation for this user does not exist.

But, when I check Worker table in Excel I see that User Relationship Effective and Expiration don't empty.

Also column ObjectID has a strange value, all zeros.

If I delete value from User Relationship Effective and Expiration through Excel from the Worker table, I will be able to reassign the employee. But it is not impossible to edit these two fields.

Do you have any suggestion how to solve this?

"Just suggesting" could the issue be cross entities? Like if you are an Australian and applying for an American?

3 years later and I am getting exactly the same problem and error message when trying to request annual leave for a Worker.
Any updates?
