Dear All,

We are now willing to switch from Dynamics Ax 2012 to Dynamics 365, In this regard we need a clear information related to licences cost differences, is there any way to transfer licences 2012 to dynamics 365?, What would be the difference cost per license and what and how much licences will be required? bellow is the detail of all licences cost which have been purchased by our company. One thing more we did not implement the dynamics just purchased it. We have 22 stores and SCM, Sales, POS departments.

Licences Cost                                                  Quantity

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Server                   1

Enterprise User                                                    1

Functional Users                                                  1

Task Users                                                            2

Store Server                                                        15

Device Users                                                       15

What Would be the BREP                                   ???

    Hi,

I would recommend that you take a look at the licensing guide that is available for download here

    http://download.microsoft.com/documents/en-us/dynamics/pricing/Dynamics_365_Enterprise_edition_Licensing_Guide.pdf

In addition, please get into contact with a MS sales rep as they can help and clarify any other open issue you might have and that is not covered in the guide.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig Reinhard,

Thanks for your help, Let me know is there any chance of transferring the licences from Ax 2012 to Dynamics 365? because all the working and R&D related to 365 licences will no longer be helpful if we can not transfer licences of 2012 to 365.

    so kindly tell me.

The license types and cost available changed last year.

You can convert to on premise licenses, but not as favourably as last year.

For conversion to cloud the original discount window for subscription was 40% up to 2019 -provided you are current on enhancement fee and had purchased Ax 2012 licences before 31 Oct 2016.

I suggest raise a query directly with MBS query for your specific situation to get clarity what are your options.

    Hi SFA,

As magic1949 mentioned get into contact with a MS representative who can help you with the specific situation in your company. There are hundreds of different licensing options available and probably the best ones who have an overview of all of them are the MS guys.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi SFA,

You have to log into LCS

    lcs.dynamics.com/.../Index

Once you are logged in scroll to the right and search for the tile "support" that opens a new window where you can log your support incident.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Dear SFA, please make sure that titles of your questions describe the actual topic. "Need Help regarding the Dynamics 365" is completely generic and therefore doesn't work well as a title.
