Excel online import does not work

Hi,

I have been trying to import revenue data into dynamics 365 crm online sales using the excel online tool but this has not been working. I am trying to bulk change the values which are a simple data field and then upload them back into dynamics 365 in the revenue forecasting tool. It has randomly worked from time to time but has not been working for a while now. All it does is register 0 changes being made. Is there a way to fix this as I require this for bulk updating revenue forecasting over a span of 3 years.

    Can you give us a screen shot of the excel file you are trying to import?   How are you exporting to excel online?  Which option are you using?   Sounds like the GUIDS aren't there.

    Hi, I am doing the standard export "revenue forecasts" in excel online and then using this to edit the fields then saving changes back to dynamics. The 3 GUIDs are there called named "Do not modify" cells.  I am trying to upload a photo but it doesn't work

    Hi alemzouri,

    Could you provide the version and region of your D365?

    I also encountered this problem in my environment. My D365 version is 9.1.0.2656 online and the region is North America.

    So if our D365 version and region are the same, then I think Excel online import does not work is a bug.

    In addition, we have confirmed the issue that the image cannot be inserted in the post, and we are fixing it.

    Go to Settings > Data Management > Imports, we can see the status of the Excel online import files.

    Is its Status Reason field value Submitted? Is its Total Processed field value 0?

    That is correct, its status goes through the submitted ect to completed and total processed 0.

    Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug. We will fix it in the future.

    The exact time has not yet been determined.

    Hi Manoj,

    "Currently there are multiple issues in Excel online integration which require a design change.

    The scope is much bigger than a normal bug fix, we are working with PMs to prioritize this item."

    This issue has not been solved, and its fix date has not yet been determined.
