Some Dev changes are not reflecting to UAT through devops pipeline

Hi,

I've an environment where previously if i had made same changes on dev environment and want to move to UAT then i'll deploy changes by building pipeline through devops but for few days changes are not reflecting when i try to build the pipeline through devops. There's no such error of package failure or error. so anyone have faced the same situation then do suggest some solutions.

THANKYOU.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Zohan,

Have you compared the objects in the build and development branches? Examine the build branch for any pending objects.

Yes, i've checked it. all objects are same. When i try to deploy manually then changes are reflecting in UAT.

Have you attempted to deploy the pipeline package to a different development server? Check to see if the pipeline was recently modified or if it is taking objects from the correct branch.

Yes, When i try to check-in my elements from development server, the updated elements are showing in azure devops.

is there any way i can check my class or elements name in deployable package ?

You could unzip the package and decompile the assemblies, but don't you already know that the build pipeline produced a correct package?

You said "When i try to deploy manually then changes are reflecting in UAT". I thought that you're talking about the same package here, and therefore you know that the build pipeline works and your problem is related to the release pipeline.

If you mean that you built a different package in Visual Studio and applied it, it's not telling much. I think it's indeed time to focus on the packing you're struggling with, but I would try to apply it manually rather than jumping to decompilation.

I've seen something like this before.  I suggest you look at your model in DevOps.  I suspect that you have old binaries checked into your DevOps when you shouldn't.  For models that you control the source code for, ensure that if there is a bin folder that it only contains dll files of the 3rd party dll's that you are leveraging in your solution.  If you are not using any 3rd party dll's in your solution, then I would suggest that you can delete the bin folder in DevOps.  As a general rule (very general - not always the case - depends on circumstances), but for models that you control source for, there should typically be two folders only.  The Descriptor and the Model folder.

Don't rush with this, but I honestly believe you need to look at DevOps and your models and ensure you only have the elements checked in that are required.  If you have binaries in there as well, then the build pipeline will likely be trying to add those binaries to the deployable package.  If they are old binaries and overwriting the the ones from the build, then that could be problematic.  I would start with a careful and thoughtful analysis of your DevOps branch that you are trying to build.  Determine if there are objects in the branch that shouldn't be there and clean it up if required.
