Can i cancel table Optimization

Hi i ran a table optimization last night, thinking it would take only a few hours. it is still running this morning. is it safe to kill off the fin.exe process or do i have to leave it to complete. it's at a stage where NAV looks like its not responding, but the cpu is running at 25% (quad core) thanks for your help Rich

    Hi,

    I think, you can cancel table optimization. But do optimization when no users has login or do it on non-working day.

    why kill the fin.exe - why not just click the cancel button?
