    Hi Deviduga,

Why do you have vendor details in an Excel file if there is a specific table for vendors? Probably you can explain us the functional process and the business purpose of this report?

it's a client requirement, they need to select  more than hundred vendor at a time ,  technically we know  it's possible using multi-select lookup.

but selecting more than hundred records manually is time consuming and also they are getting vendor list as a excel file from other department.

so we need to just push the exact file as parameter to report. In AX2012 they are using the same scenario. Now they need it in D365 F&O.

So please need to know is this possible?. If Possible, Please let me know to achieve it.

    thanks in advance

    It is possible.

You'll let users upload a file, and then you have two options. You can either immediately read data from the file and storing vendor IDs in the report contract (either as a list in the contract class, or as query ranges), or you can store the file somewhere, include only a reference to the file in the report contract and process the file in the data provider class.

I would prefer the former option. It avoids the need of storing the file, and users will immediately get feedback if the file can't be processed.
