I am trying to set up the trial version of the dynamics field service. I added users in the 365 admin added roles and assigned a field service application. When I go to the dynamics manage role, I add to the field service resource role. then I get this error on every account created.

The user ID associated with the current record is not valid. If you contact support, please provide the technical details.
I did find a solution. The error was because the user was not active. I found that under the settings wheel in the upper right corner of Dynamics 365 there was an advanced icon that would send me to the security. there i was able to go to users and right-click on the user and enable the user. This process is not in the documentation.

You indicated that you added users, added roles and assigned a field service application. In the admin center did you also apply a Dynamics 365 CE trial license as well? Users>Active Users > Manage Product licenses
You were not able to assign any other security roles as well without receiving this error, correct? I was able to reproduce your error, but it was only on a user that a license had not been applied to.
