Posting Date Filter

ReportReport

I am creating a report using the post date filter with the job and job ledger entry tables.  I have the posting date filter as a filter in the properties for the request page.  When I run the report it is not using the posting date filter but grabbing all records.  I know I am missing something small as I have done this before and corrected it, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.  Can someone give me some help?

    If the posting date filter is a variable then you need to write the code as mmv mentioned to filter the posting date on job ledger entries, if it is not a variable then you can add the posting date filter on the Job Ledger Entry dataitem directly by going to properties setting reqFilterFields and when  you run the report apply the filter on Job Ledger Entry DataItem

    "Job Ledger Entry".SETFILTER("Posting Date",Job.PostingDate);

    As per MMV post, you should use code or map it there. Your problem would be resolved.

    RE: Posting Date Filter

    Hi,

    Is the "Posting Date Filter" field coming from "Job" table?  If that's the case, you need to map it in the "DataItemLink" of the "Job Ledger Entry" or you need to write a code in the "Job Ledger Entry" -> OnPreDataItem trigger "Job Ledger Entry".SETFILTER("Posting Date",Job.GETFILTER("Posting Date Filter"));

    Best Regards,

    MMV
