Hi Experts,

I want to track my tasks created in outlook in Dynamics 365.

However, when I create a new task, I am unable to see the option "Track". This is what i want to see.

This is what I can see

Please help me to understand what needs to be enabled to see the "Track" option.

I can also see Dynamics icon in my ribbon in outlook.

    Hello Amrita,

From your third screenshot, I can see that you are using the "Dynamics CRM App for Outlook":

Dynamics CRM App for Outlook Guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/outlook-app/dynamics-365-app-outlook-user-s-guide

The first screenshots, of the buttons you marked, is referencing the "Dynamics 365 for Outlook". This is a different, older, Add-in, used to sync data between CRM and the Outlook Client.

Please note: You cannot use both at the same time, so make sure to remove the App for Outlook, before installing the Dynamics 365 for Outlook Add-in.

    Have a nice week,

    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

    Thanks for explaining me.

Is there any method that in this version I could create my tasks in outlook and still track them to Dynamics.

    Thanks

    Hello Amrita,

Here is a useful article, written by one of my colleagues, on how to track Tasks with and without the Dynamics CRM App for Outlook:

    Hope it answers your needs.

Stay safe and have a nice day ahead,

    Stefan
