We have an Entity with an Alternate Key part of a managed solution that is already installed on our Production environment. Due to a business requirement we have to import some duplicate data on production and the Alternate Key is preventing us from importing such data. So we would like to delete the Alternate Key from our Production. The only available option is to delete the Key in our source environment and Upgrade the solution to the Production (Delete the Key in Source, Perform Clone To Solution in our DEV environment and import the new solution to production which will delete the Key).
The problem is that the solution itself is very big (size is around 10 MB) hence it will take so much time to import and apply the upgrade. We cannot afford to put down our production environment for that much time. Is there any other quick way to delete the Key on Production? Please advise!
