Duplicating an SSRS Report

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hello all,

Please when duplicating an SSRS report, I get the following error message, "object reference not sent to an instance of an object".  I have run full CIL, still the same error, what can I do to duplicate the report.

Thanks.

I don't know how are you duplicating the report. But for workaround you can export the report, edit the xpo file by renaming the report name and changing origin guid and re-importing it into AX.

Like in below screenshot I duplicated the "AccountantInvestmentAnalysis" report.

    Hi DammyT,

To be honest I rarely duplicate existing reports. You could try to export it and then add it back to your AOT under a different name. Otherwise if you are only modifying the report's design you could probably do it within the same project by creating and renaming a copy of the report design. Hope this helps.

    Cheers,

    AJ
