Uses of TARGIT

Hello Experts,

Please could  you explain me, Why we are using TARGIT Decision Suite, even though MS Power BI is here that all works we can do through Power BI  also.

Which one is better?

    While I'm specifically familiar with TARGIT Decision Suite, here are a few reasons why some organizations use a third party Business Intelligence (BI) and/or Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution instead of, or in addition to Microsoft Power BI:

    1. Power BI does not have pre-created data cubes or a data warehouse. You do not need a data warehouse to use Power BI, and if you do need one, you can use a SQL data warehouse, and in some instances, you can even plug it to a third party BI solution's data warehouse
    2. Your organization has been using TARGIT for some time now, since before Power BI was launched or became commonplace
    3. There is a specific aspect of your organization's business and reporting needs (budgeting, forecasting, etc., specific department needs) that are better handled by TARGIT
    4. Going back to #1, because Power BI does not have a data warehouse or cubes, this means that data modeling has to be done by you or your NAV or BI partner. There are some Content Packs from Microsoft using a handful of queries, but most of our clients quickly outgrow those and want to create new queries and model more data. In tools like TARGIT, these queries and models are pre-created, allowing a business analyst to jump directly into the task of creating reports, dashboard, etc.
    5. I will reiterate another thing I stated in #1: Just because you are using TARGIT does not necessarily preclude you from using Power BI's state of the art visualizations, or their strong capabilities for sharing dashboards among various users in the organization, accessing from a variety of devices on the go, etc. Most BI solutions allow the use of Power BI are the top-most layer to render results using their data warehouse.
