Hi,
We create Sales Orders Manually and through XML import (Data management). Recently for few customers we started creating orders through REST API calls. During XML import the Sales Origin set to "EDI" and for API it is set as "D365". Similarly Sales Taker value is set by default to a person named "Beck .." for both. In both XML and API we are not passing either Sales Taker nor Sales origin, But It is set automatically when order is created.
Now there is a change request asking us to Set "EDI/API" for Sales Taker and for Sales Origin. How to configure ?
Regards,
Manivannan
Hi Manivanan,
Since you are not passing the values in the XML/API and are setting it by default, have you done any customizations at the entity level to get that working?
Hi Manivannan,
How the Beck is set by default? can you not do the same thing with the required IDs?
I don't know where they setting the value. I looked into SalesOrderHeaderV2 entity. There is no default value property in SalesTaker field. Also checked Source code of the entity. I am not expert in D365. Can you help me where to look?
If you have access to an Dev environment, please try select the field "SalesTaker" in the SalesOrderHeaderV2Entity and do a find references. Please check if you can find some non-standard object which might be setting the value.
