Need explanation of error message

Hi everyone, Happy New Year.

A user was recently changing the ship-to address for a sales order and encountered the following error message...

"Bulk data load failed. An error occurred while unpacking data."

After closing out the error window, the user was able to select the correct ship-to and process the sales order without incident. I haven't been able to find anything on what this error actually means but was hoping someone here could enlighten me. What I've been able to glean from the little I've found online is that this message is not transaction-specific and occurs randomly (based on what I've read). I have no evidence yet of that at this point.

Thank you!

add a breakpoint on the info class method add.

from that point you get the code , where it is trigered

an other way is to find the label in the develop AX environment.

from that point search the AOT where it is used.

by the way I was not able to find the label in AX 2009 or AX 2012.......

Thanks for the suggestions Dick. I'm not able to replicate the issue in our QA or DEV environments but troubleshooting the issue this way in production will be out of the question. I'll run some searches in the AOT. Not hopeful on finding anything quite honestly (especially since you've given it a go).

If anyone's got any further suggestions I'd appreciate it.

    Hi!

We are experiencing the same error message at a different spot. I was wondering if you have been able to find the cause of the issue.

    Thanks,

    Fruzsina

    Hi,

Just to be clear, it was only a single user experiencing the issue. We had her do a 'reset' on the form that was the problem and it solved it. Hope this helps.
