Show fields from sales order in xml file using dynamics ax 2012

Hi,

I am currently using Dynamics AX 2012 R3. I need to show two fields i.e. Barcode and ExternalItemId from the sales order in the already existing xml file.

The two fields are present AR>All sales order. If you open any sales order under the load details you will get the fields (barcode and externalitemid).

Also, I have enabled them from the outbound port in the ax, but still I cannot get the fields come on the xml file. Please suggest

    Hi

You are able to see the fields through View Schema button inside the Data Policies form?

Try to check also the query related the AIF Service

Yes, when I click on view schema button inside the data policies it is showing. Only ontthe xml file it is not showing up.

Also, when I enable the two fields I am not able to obtain xml file, whereas when I disable them again I get an xml file.

These fields are in SalesSalesOrderService in Dynamics AX out of the box.

It seems you're using the file system adapter, correct? How are you send the order to the outbound port? Does the order really have the fields filed in? Check twice if it's really the same order.

What do you mean by "in the already existing xml file"? It won't update any existing file, it will generate a new one.

A new thing to explain: "I am not able to obtain xml file". What exactly is means, what's logged in AIF exceptions etc. Debug the code if necessary.

If you see the fields in the data policies but not in the xml, then you probably forgot to add them to the related Axd* query.

Data policies are generated from Ax objects, so the fields obviously are in the query. And as I said, they're already in standard AX; he didn't add them.

"I am not able to obtain xml file" meaning; when I enable the two fields from the data policies xml file is not generated; whereas when I disable the two fields xml file is generated.

Could you please finally look into the AIF exception log? It's the very first thing you should have done when you found that something had failed.

Yes I did this; and every time I get this error:

Error executing code: AxWHSASNItem object does not have method 'parmBarcode'.

But when I go back and check it is present.
