Is it possible to implement a second subgrid in Orders/Invoice forms that allow you to populate data from Price Lists completely independent from the original subgrid

Posted on by 75

Good afternoon dear community,

as stated above I am looking for a way to realize a second subgrid in the order form, that allows the user to pick products from the pricelist and enter a quantity (while not sharing any data with the original products subgrid).

The idea behind this is just a list for colleagues in the field service to document any additional materials they have used to fulfill their assignment. There would be no need for the price calculation or the prices themselve.

Is something like that implementable? I am fairly new at CRM and coding but I would really appreciate your inputs!

We are operating on CRM 2016 8.1.1.1005 (which means no editable grids :( )

best Regards

Max

Hi Jupiter, allow me to explain with the aid of a screenshot:

the grid at the bottom is supposed to act like the one above, allowing the user to pick from all of the products within in the pricelist while being completely independent ergo not sharing any products.

E.g If the first grid has product 1, product 2, product 3, I want to be able to pick product 5, product 10 etc

    best regards

    Hi There,

Request you to go through the docs.microsoft.com/.../sub-grid-properties-legacy .

Are you looking for entity A records to be shown in Entity B form? please provide the scenario so that we could help you accordingly.

    Hello Jupiter!

First of all thank you for replying to me. I did try to create a new Subgrid related to order products however it merely copies the original subgrid of the form. If I am misunderstanding your solution, could you please elaborate on it in more detail? (I am still not very well-versed in the matters of customizing CRM, hence I would really appreciate a walkthrough

    Hi there -

You should be able to create another Sub grid and connect with the required data source to display the desired records.
