Excess Pick Of Material need to reduce picked qty, from Component

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi Blog members,

My company is using Warehouse Module. I have registered certain qty. of pIck for a Prod, Order but by mistake pick generated was of excess qty. So is there any way to rectify linking that Prod. order as well. I tried using Movement worksheet but the Picked qty in Prod orders remained same.

Thanks And regards

Harsh, I found some further information on this. The answer to my own questions about this process was found at this link:

Hello, did you say that you had already registered the Pick? Do you see items in the "Qty. Picked" column of Prod Order Components screen?

    Hi Alex,

I got the first point about movement but I am not sure about second one. In second point you have mentioned that I should change the consumption quantity. Here I want to make a point clear that I have not consumed anything yet so if  I will replace the quantity with negative figure system  will not reverse the effect of consumption as no consumption is posted yet.

     Thanks And Regards

    Hi Harsh,

I'm still figuring this out but it could require two steps. Or, it may only require the second step below (using the Production Journal or the Consumption Journal). I will be doing more testing on this later this week.

1.) Use the Movement Worksheet to move the items out of WIP and back to their Raw Material Bin locations. This is for the physical inventory side.

2.) Use the Production Journal (from the "Line" drop down at the top of the "Lines" section of that same Production Order) and put a negative amount for the Consumption Quantity for the amount to be returned for each of the Raw Material components you would like to "un-pick" from that Production Order. NAV will let you put a negative consumption quantity for the financial side.

Please let me know if this provides the expected result.
