Hi,

I read that D365B's Team Member is capable of handling "Requisitions and quotes", but which specific pages does "Requisitions and quotes" cover?

    Description of the 'Team Member'.

Dynamics 365 for Team Members, Business edition users can do the following:

    - Read anything that’s enabled in Financials or any other Dynamics 365 Application

    - Update existing data and entries in Financials - Existing data are records like customer, vendor or item records which are already created. Entries means entries on which it is specifically allowed from an accounting perspective to update specific information. (e.g. due date on customer ledger entries)

    - Approve or reject tasks in all workflows assigned to a user

    - Create, edit, delete a quote or requisition

    - Create, edit, delete personal information

    - Enter a Time Sheet for Jobs

    Use PowerApps for Dynamics 365

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Team Member licenses transcend all Dynamics 365 products.  Dynamics 365 for Financials (Business Edition) does not have Requisitions, so it doesn't apply.  A 'Team Member' will only be able to enter Sales Quotes.  They will not be able to enter Purchase Orders.

So, in order to create/edit/delete Purchase Invoice and Sales Invoice pages, Team Member users are not allowed to do so?

They may be able to edit existing ones, but they would not be create new ones.

    Hi Chris,

Could you elaborate on this answer?  We have a similar question for licensing and the ability for Team Members to add Purchase Orders (to then hit the approval process).

Seeing this wording in the licensing guide: "Create, edit, delete a quote or requisition" and your comment that users "would not be able to create new ones" ... I"m having difficulty understanding the distinction.

Can the Team Member open a file that is attached to the PO or Invoices through document handling?

    Chris,

I'm revisiting this topic since I'm playing around with the trial version.

I'm assuming that User Group "D365 TEAM MEMBER" enforces the same set of capabilities allowed for Team Member.

And if my above assumption is correct, then with the D365 TEAM MEMBER User Group, I am not allowed to create any Purchase documents, including Purchase Order.

Can you please let me know if this is a bug, or some misunderstanding on my end?

    Thank you.

    Kenji

A team member license can do a requisition or a quote. I don't think it can do both.

    Hi Syed,

Thank you for your response. If what you have said is true, do you know how I can define that I want to process "requisition" instead of "quote"?
