Webservices Authenitcation from a Remote IIS Server

Hey Everyone,

I am receiving the error "The HTTP request was forbidden with client authentication scheme 'Negotiate'." when I try to connect to retrieve information from my webservice.

The web application that runs on a different server than my NAV Server. The application is using Windows Authenication and Impersonation.

Everything works fine when I set the Impersonation to a static user in IIS so I assume I am running into a server hopping issue.

Any Ideas how to get this to work?

check if the authentication mode is set to windows.

The service is set to windows:

<binding name="Customer_Card_Web_Binding">

<security mode="TransportCredentialOnly">

<transport clientCredentialType="Windows" />

</security>

</binding>

and the app is set to windows:

<authentication mode="Windows"/>

<identity impersonate="true"/>

<authorization>

<allow users="*"/>

<deny users="?"/>

</authorization>

seems that the user connecting to nav has not the appropriate rights.

are the 2 servers within the same AD ? if not your solution is the only way.

is the user calling the web service a nav user ?

check the iis log and the windows event log (eventviewer).
