I tried adding a colleague to LCS but he does not receive any email.
It is not in the spam filter and not received at our email server.
Any ideas?

Are there any issues with emails going out right now? We are experiencing the same issue and have invited several users none of which have received their invitations. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
make sure you are checking the right email inbox.
cause, you might have bind one account to partner or lcs and you might have given another email id as communication. this happens if you use AAD. for me this happened.
also the requester should check the checkbox to send email.
else contact LCS admin.

the issue is solved (fairly simple).
1) add user to customer source and send the invitation
2) ask the user to accept the invitation and login to customersource
3) create a user in lcs and invite him to a project
4) ask the user to go to lcs.dynamics.com
5) in the project requests, ask him to accept the invitation.

Hello Marc - we had an issue internally where emails were not being sent out properly which has now been corrected, so the email invitations should be received very soon. Sorry for the inconvenience on this issue.

If you try to add another colleague, work fine ?
If yes, try again with your first colleague.
If no, raise a case in MS.
