Changing system ´leave & absence´ default parameter to hourly after system setting

Greetings to the D365HR community...

The settings of the default system parameter calculation for ´Time-off and absence´ cannot be changed while created.

Is it possible to change tha parameters from one calendar year to another while being live? Has anyone faced such a scenario?

We currently have the calculation based per day/month but the legislation is changing as of 01.01.2021 and we are switching to ´per hour´as a basis for the time off/leave eligibility.

Thank you

    Hi,

    I agree with Kamal's comments.

If you try with Data management for Leave and Absence parameters then It will give an error for transactions exist.

In the table browser, the field is not allowed to edit.

In excel addins, it is not allowed to change the value due to the transaction exists.

Only thing is to delete the transactions and change the parameter value.

    Hi,

As far as I know this cannot be changed if there are leave accrual transactions at a employee level.(The hover text instructions highlight this - screenshot below)

You can consider deleting the leave accrual transactions and plan assignments incase if you do not want the historical data and if the volumes of information is low. Please test this in a sandbox environment first and see if it meets all your requirements.

PS: I will check this one more time and let you know if I find anything further.
