Hi Experts,

I need to hide a button from Dynamics 365 from Outlook. Please find below the screenshot of the button that I am trying to hide -

I tried following ways to hide the button but all of them didn't help:

  1. Removing activity and appointment entities from app, didn’t work.
  2. Checking the button from Ribbon Workbench but it is not available there.
  3. Exported the solution that contained entity for which we have to remove the button so that the button could be commented from customizations.xml, but the customization.xml file did not have its definition

Is there any other way to hide the button? Please help!

If you remove the Lead entity from the Assets/artifacts of App for Outlook , then this will not list the Add as Lead option. It will also remove other functionalities related to Lead entity in app.

    Or

    Hope this may help.

    Hi Aditya,

I do not want to remove the lead entity from my app.

As per the link provided, I have already tried removing Activity and Appointment entities from the App, however, doing that did not remove the button.

    Hi Maulik,

In this case, there is already a setting in CRM to remove 'Go Offline' button. In my case, there isn't any such configuration to remove 'Add Activity' button.

For the 2nd link, I have already tried checking that button in ribbon customization, but it is not there either, hence I could not hide it.
