Sales order multiple picking list registration

Hi,

Pease help me out with this issue in doing multiple picking list registrations in 2012 R2. Repro steps are below:

1. Create and Post SO confirmation for 100 qty.

2. Post picking list for all quantity.

3. In picking list registration, for the applicable picking route, select and pick partial quantity say 75. Update all.

Issue now is inventory transactions has 25 open order quantity, but the picking list button is greyed out and can't be clicked again. Please suggest. Is it the same in all AX versions including R3?

HI Dwij,

I checked it in R3. It is working. Did you refresh the sales order form? Then the button might be triggered to become active. Normally it is not active if you have the quantity on the pick list not yet updated. But you did, so try to update the form. You could close it and reopen.

Hi Andre,

The issue i m facing is in customer env in R2(no customization in this area). Thanks, I got it checked in R3 too and its working fine there.

It's not a refresh issue. Is there some config i m missing? I couldnt find it as a known bug as well.

Hi Dwij

I am assuming you are using Shipments - thus add full quantity to the Shipment lines, Functions -> Activate shipment, picked 75 out of the entire quantity then I clicked Update all

Then I opened the Shipment Lines again, added the other 25 units, functions -> activate, Inquiries -> picking route, retrieve new picking route (AX showed me the first picking route where 75 qty was picked), update all

This works for me using AX 2012 R2 CU7

Hi Dwij,

What are your settings in the accounts receivable parameters>Updates>Picking route status?

What are your settings on the Item model group for the item on your sales order, Consolidated picking method? Picking requirements?

There is a parameter option under Inventory Management > Setup > Inventory and Warehouse Management Parameters under the General tab that says 'End Output Inventory Order'. If that is checked once you register the pick and ship, the open output order for the 25 will automatically be closed and you will see that the 'Pick list' button will be active again and you can print a pick list for the remaining 25.
