Vendor report for contacts

Hello Everybody;

I am looking for a report to show vendor with their address, city, contact number like phone, email etc.. what we generally see in the master level. Is there anything standard available in d365? Or do I need to create a new report from the scratch?

Creating a new report seems easy as we have to just show the developer the field mapping but need to know before that if anything else is in system. Tried checking anything similar but no luck it seems. Is it available in any other module apart from ap?

regards,

John P.

    Hi John Perry,

Have you checked below link where Ludwig and me discussed the same. This is a very recent thread. If you go through this, you will see that the owner of this post already acknowledged that this is working. Which means; the solution already delivered.

Test both ways as mentioned in the link and update us.

    Best regards,

    Hi John P.

Yes this is true, you will not be able to find all of this information on a single report. You would have to customize this to get this done.

On the other hand if the requirement is fulfilled using Excel based formats, than it can be achieved you can extract the Vendor data to an excel sheet using the Data management workspace.

    Regards,

    Zain

You could use a Word Document Template:

    https://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2017/07/05/how-to-create-a-microsoft-word-template-in-microsoft-dynamics-365/

No need for development if you don't require any specific logic or calculation.

Thanks everybody for your suggestion and time you spend on this.

Excel add-ins seems best option to go with as it is quite straight forward :-)

I tried with global address book also but looks like there is additional step involved to get the vendor contact details, address and all that. Not like excel add-ins which will just generate the data in a single click.

Thanks Sourav Dam for sharing the link. Helpful indeed.

    Cheers!!!
