How much space do I need in order to install a finance and operations VHD?

Hi Guys, it's me again, hope you are all fine!

I'm going forward with the finance and operation + visual studio connection case, currently i'm trying to extract a VHD directly in my machine, coming from the union of the following FinAndOps parts:

Sadly, the installation keep saying to me /there is not enough space on your disk/ and I have almost 250 GB to use.

Could you explain me how the space nedded is calculated? it depends on the dimension of the finance and operation app?
There is an average dimension of this kind of application or it can vary a lot?

Are you sure you're extract it to the right disk?

Disk space aside, how much Memory/RAM do you have available locally? D365 needs loads to be usable, Visual Studio even more.

Hi Community member,

The VM size for this version of the VHD is 256 GB. You would need to free up some disk space. Or find a larger drive. The size was increased compared to the previous version of the VM which needed only 128 GB.
