Unable to login in local D365 VM

Hi All,

I have downloaded D365 VHD files for version 8.1 and created VM using Hyper V. I am having problems with Loggin in and tried to run the Admin user provisioning tool with no luck. The Admin user provisioning tool timed out when I ran it for the first time, but now when I provide our onmicrosoft.com account or work account, I am getting following error:

"The remote server returned an error (404). Not Found"

Can anyone please let me know if I am missing anything or what else I can try to resolve this issue?

    Hi Baber,

    1. Please check whether you entered a valid email address. It should be an organizational account, which is a user in the Azure AD of your organization.

    2. Check whether the AOS service is running in IIS.

    3. Check whether the machine has access to the internet.

    Please find my responses below:

    1. Please check whether you entered a valid email address. It should be an organizational account, which is a user in the Azure AD of your organization.

    [Baber]: Yes, I did provide an account which is valid and it is in Azure AD, as I use this to login to LCS to use our own environments that we have got as a partner.

    2. Check whether the AOS service is running in IIS.

    [Baber]: I already checked, under IIS -> Sites -> AOSService is running.

    3. Check whether the machine has access to the internet.

    [Baber]: Also, I already checked this and yes internet connection is running.

    The other thing is when I try to browse D365 URL from IIS, it says page cannot be displayed rather than showing the login page. The URL is "usnconeboxax1aos.cloud.onebox.dynamics.com/".

    Hi  Baber,

    What's the detailed error message when you try to browse D365 URL?

    Please check the Event log using the Event Viewer there may be some warnings or errors related to this issue.

    When I try to browse the URL from IIS, I just get the usual "Page can't be displayed" error. When I click Submit button on Admin user provisioning tool, it gave me 404 not found error which I already mentioned and in event viewer, I got the below errors:

    The Open Procedure for service "WmiApRpl" in DLL "C:\windows\system32\wbem\wmiaprpl.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.

    The Open Procedure for service "Lsa" in DLL "C:\Windows\System32\Secur32.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.

    Four entries got created in event viewer each time I try to submit after providing user credentials in Admin provisioning tool. Any clue what the above error relates to ? Source of the error is PerfLib in event viewer.

    Did you do any code changes in this environment after setting it up? If yes, please try to build all your custom models / packages.

    Also please verify that you have internet connection working on the machine.
