We want to add the suppliers batch number as our on when we recive goods from them.

But the problem is that we dont know the batch number before we recieve the goods.

Is it possible to create manual batch numbers in the warehouse management app without creating them in Dyn365FO beforehand?

As I understand, this is not possible, but I would really like to find a solution for this.

Moved from D365 general forum to Supply Chain Management forum, because it's clearly not about Dynamics 365 in general and I guess that the app you mean is Supply Chain Management. Please let me know if you disagree.

Yes, we can capture the batch number while receive the good. I think you can enable the batch number for that Item and while using warehouse management app for PO receive that time we will allow system to enter the batch number manually.

Please let me know if you required more information related to do the configuration.

To manually capture vendor batch numbers, start by enabling the vendor batch requirements in the Item Model Group settings. After that, when you receive items using the warehouse management app, it will prompt you to enter vendor batch numbers, expiry dates, and other details. Just don't forget to turn on the vendor batch number registration in the Item Model Group.
