Fiscal Year updates and moving existing data into new fiscal year

Hello Experts,
 
1. In MSD-FO, currently the fiscal year is defined from Jan 1st 2025 to Dec 31st 2025
2. We want to define a NEW fiscal year from July 1st 2024 to June 30 2025
 
We have 
1. Transactions from September 2023 to June 30th 2024
2. Transactions from July 1st 2024 to Feb 6th 2025
 
If we define a new fiscal year from July 1st 2024 to June 30 2025 and Update the "Ledger Setup" to the newly defined fiscal year will it
1. Move/convert the current existing data from July 1st 2024 onwards into the newly defined fiscal year?

2. How do I handle transactions from September 2023 to June 30th 2024

    Defining a new fiscal year from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, and updating the "Ledger Setup" accordingly will not automatically reassign existing transactions to this new fiscal year. Transactions retain their original posting dates and remain associated with the fiscal period active at the time of posting. To align these transactions with the new fiscal structure, you may need to perform manual adjustments or reclassifications.
