Hello Friends,

I am using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 with CU9 update and need to print the bar code directly from AX

The following are the Bar code printer details,

Brand : Zebra GT800 Printer

already i had generated the bar code from ax and need to print the bar code from ax can anyone suggest me how to configure zebra printer with AX

Dear Vinoth,

You just need to install the printer drivers and set it as default printer. If you printing via server you need to share it on server. Let me know if you have already installed it.

Dear Ali Zeeshan Shaikh,

Already i had installed the zebra printer and my bar code paper size is width : 5 cm and Height : 2.5 cm, by default we are having A4 Landscape 3*5 paper size only, so if i print my bar code means its no showing in my paper and shows very tiny. Can you suggest me how to set my paper size.

Dear Vinoth,

You need to adjust your body size of rectangle and report size as per your bar code dimensions. So as you mentioned above, make your body width : 1.97 inch and height : 1 inch. Now you need to adjust your report dimensions on above settings if you have also specified left/right or top/bottom margin. Try these settings I hope this will resolve your issues.

Please also make sure that you have made proper settings in Bar code setup as well. I did setup my settings as follows, size is used for scanning purpose.

Dear Ali Zeeshan Shaikh,

As per your suggestion already i had changed the settings, but my issue was not solved.

Can you suggest me whether we can give print directly from ax to zebra bar code printer or need to make customization and how to change the report name settup because default we are having retailA43*5 like that only how to create our paper size as report name setup

Hi Ali,

I am trying to print a simple product label. The label is 4" wide x 2.5" high. There is 1 label column across and 1 label row per page. Basically, the physical page size is 4" wide x 2.5" high. This is a 1/8" gap between each lable, and the thermal printer recognizes this to start a align as the start of a 'new page'.

I set my ssrs designer page size to 4" x 2.5" . Dropped a List onto this and sized it so that there is about .12 space (on each of the 4 sides) between the List and page edge.

Within Reporting Services / Visual Studio, the on-screen preview looks fine and it's showing one label per pdf page in file but when I am feeding this file to Intermec EasyCoder PD42 printer , alignment is not proper i.e. the data stops on the 1st physical page at the 2" wide spot, when it should be printing all across to 4.5".

When I am using collate check box and printing say 10 labels , 5 are coming rightly in die cut label boxes and 5 are not even aligned to label page.

Note: We are on D365 FO PU 7 version and try to use mentioned printer.

Any help would be appreciated.
