Hello all,
Long story short. We have uploaded an opening TB Journal which we had to unlock couple accounts to allow manual entry and close them before posting it. And once we hit the "post" button the balances that should have gone to these locked accounts gone straight into suspense account which we didnt realise. We were expecting that the system will show the error and wont let to post this journal.
My questions: why has this happened and is there a setting that we could change for the future?

In Accounts for automatic transactions check if you have setup an error account. When you got an error, entries will be posted to that account.

In ledger parameters you should have selected "Do not use error account".
Thank you very much for your answers. There was an error account set up which we taken out now and did a test journal posting which worked perfectly, got the error!
