    Hello!

It is quite possible to have a working AX environment in your laptop by using either Hyper-V or Oracle VirtualBox. But it depends on which operating system and memory you have installed on your computer. If your operating system does not support Hyper-V, you can use some other virtualization software like the one I mentioned befor, which is free.

Then, if you have at least 32 GB of RAM in your computer, just set aside at least 20 of them for running the virtual machine.

If you only have 16 GB of RAM, there's still an option (which I haven't tried) of dual-booting your machine.

Below I include documents that will guide you with either option:

    Hello Shaik:

The first document tells you where to get the files. It has links to those resources where it says "here" in the text.

Of course, this depends on your access to Partnersource or Customersource.

Other that that, I couldn't help you.

    Regards.

You would have to be affiliated with Microsoft Dynamics AX in order to be able to access the Microsoft PartnerSource or CustomerSource downloads, that Guy has linked in his blog post shown above. After that it is a simple process to set the VHD files up with any virtualization solutions, I typically use Oracle VirtualBox for this as a free solution.

I can also confirm what Jorge mentioned, it is possible in certain versions of Windows to map the VHD file as a bootable drive, and just BCDEdit it into your bootable OS list. I have used it to test compilation times on a powerful hardware through Intel Hardware Virtualization by natively running the Demo VM.
