Visual Studio Tools Missing

We had a problem with our Dev environment so I uninstalled all of AX. We are on 2012 R3 CU10. I've everything back except VS Tools 2013 64-bit. I cannot find the .msi anywhere. I've read blogs that say it is in the CU8 slipstream. I've downloaded that and it is not there. I've downloaded the R3 CU8 install image, it isn't there either. Both were downloaded from LCS. Can anyone locate the vstools64.msi file they would be willing to share with me? (Or maybe Microsoft can put it back somewhere I can find it? Maybe I missing something silly?

Download the CU9 slipstream, it will be there in CU9\msi\vstools64\.

I had the same problem, and i downloaded the CU10 slipstream from LCS, and here is the important step I installed it in my AX 2012 R3 installation folder.

This should explain that process : https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh378076.aspx

    deinstall the current visualstudio extention

    remove visual studio 2010 complete

    have visual studio 2013 installed

and next use slipstream installation and you are up and running

I did download all available slipstreams, plus the most recent install image. The .msi is not in any of them.

Did you try slipstreaming it as i said?

Just do that and run setup.exe, and one of the items in the AX Install components list will be Visual Studio Tools 2013.

Found the issue. LCS only had us under an R2 project. Once we created an R3 project and downloaded the slipstream, the vstools64.msi folder was in there. It was not in the R2 CU8 slipstream files.
