is it possible to change the Configuration provider on existing derived templates?
We started with a wrong one and we would like to repoint all the derived templates we built to the correct one.

in checking on this I was unable to find a way to change this the Configuration provider on existing derived templates.

I actually figured this out.
You need to make sure you set as configuration provider the old one, then go to the element you want to change and then manually select the new provider from the drop-down
Once done, you will disable the old provider and select the new one as active

One way is to setup and activate your correct configuration provider.
Once that is done, newly created ER would have this provider assigned.
An existing ER that is already in use cannot simply be flipped to a new provider.
You would have to create a new derived version that is linked to your new provider or kind of create a new ER by copying from the existing model/configuration.

the system will allow you do it based on the current provider set as active
