How to restore/recover modified SSRS report to original?

Hi,

I modified the design of LedgerJournalReport in visual studio. I even forgot to backup the original Report design. compiled and deployed. AX 2012 R3.

Now I want to restore the original design of LedgerJournalReport. I am not using versioning tool. 

Please guide the possible options for this solution.

    AX contains the originals in the Application Object Tree, so you need to log on to the application layer in the AX development client on which you have customized the report, and just simply delete the changes for:

    - the SSRS report

    - the data contract/report controller classes, temp tables (if any of them were changed)

    After that you need to redeploy the report from AX, or from PowerShell / axutil. That will revert it back to Standard.

    Hii Vilmos Kintera,

    I did modifications in the usr layer and log on.

    I am in the AOT and opened SSRS report.

    I am not getting how to delete changes.

    Please guide further.

    HI RANA

    CHANGES CANT BE MADE AFTER DEPLOYMENT

    ALWAYS MAKE A EXPORT FILE BEFORE DEPLOYING NEW FILE FOR SAFETY.

    Right click, delete, or press the Delete button while the AOT object is highlighted for which you'd like to revert changes to Standard AX. That only removes your customization, and leaves the original version intact. After that Right click > Deploy report to publish it to the SSRS instance.

    Hii,

    On another server we have the original report running, but we have modifications in RDP class. Can I export report design and import to restore the design?

    Yes, you can export/import the AX source code/report in the Application Object Tree in the AX client, and replace your customization.
