I am currently performing integration work between our PLM and ERP and we have the need to create new products and release those as items for select companies within AX.
I am more than capable of creating new products and items using the respective document services in AIF ( visual c# application with the service references ).
I also can read, and perform find operations to pull these items out of AX and show them on a form.
I have hit a wall however when it comes to updates. I read a blog, http://blogs.msdn.com/b/axsupport/archive/2010/08/02/updating-customers-via-the-customer-aif-service.aspx , and saw there are important factors to consider such as setting the documentHash and recIDs after a read operation for concurrency reasons.
The EcoResProductServiceClient and ItemServiceClient classes do not contain update methods.
Has anyone been able to update products/items/boms via AIF? If so, I will be forever/eternally grateful for your help!! Below is a picture of my code, trying to find an update method.
