    What is your question?

Why do you need this? Each developer should have his/her own development environment.

Also, please ask questions about D365FO in D365FO forum. Let me move this one to D365FO forum and add few relevant tags.

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for your prompt respond.

This forum post under discussion option. Not question option.

In our environment we have a requirement to debug with functional/qa team data.

To meet this requirement we use common vm with latest db backup to debug without interrupting to functional team task/environment.

    Thanks.

I'm sorry, but it's not clear what you want to discuss. You can't expect us to know what you want; you must write it down.

    Hi Martin,

    Example :

    1. Functional team report 2 issues in vm1 environment

    2. Two developers attend the issue same time without interrupting Functional team's vm1

    3. Suggest to have common vm2 with public workspace with vm1 db backup

    4. Both developers can use vm2 and debug application to troubleshoot

Is there any other solution to solve this situation.

    Thanks.

    1. Functional team use a test environment

    2. Two developers use two developer environments (not the test environment).

Therefore there is no problem. Testing is done somewhere else than development and developers don't block each other.

You have a problem because your setup is wrong. A public workspace don't help you with the fact that no one can use the F&O environment if one of the developers is debugging, and those two developers couldn't work on the same objects in parallel.

Functional users don't normally even have a license for development
