D365 - Setting up a new Company (error)

Hello,

We are setting up a new Company in D365. We have completed steps to create the new company (JSE), added our financial dimensions, updated Ledger settings assigning a Fiscal Calendar, updated the Account Structure, updated the Organizational Hierarchy, and have created most of our number sequences. We have not created any Journal Names, and getting a similar error message in the General ledger ->Journal Setup -> Journal Name section when trying to assign a Voucher series.

Prior to completing these steps we received the following error message when trying to click on the General ledger -> Ledger Setup -> General ledger parameters and still get the message and cannot figure out if we are missing somthing. We have setup new companies in AX2012 very similar to this company and did not ever get this message. Has anyone ever ran into this situation or have recommendations for fixing?

X You've Received multiple errors.

The menu item with name ledgerparameters could not be opened.

Parameter record does not exist.

Ledger parameters record cannot be read

Field 'Processing group' must be filled in. (this shows up in several lines)

Hi Ramit - We are getting the error in testing a lower D365 environment right after we set up the new Company be going to Organization administration -> Organizations ->Legal entities. After creating the new company if I go to General ledger -> Ledger setup -> General ledger parameters we receive the error.

Hi,

can you please check ledgerparameters table with the table browser if it has a record or not? if there isnt a record, try to add with the table browser.

Hi Joel,

Do you have customizations in this environment, e.g. on data entities? Do you have other legal entities where it is working without these errors?

Hi - We should not have any customizations in D365. We were on AX2012 prior and had I think 6 legal entities and recently converted to D365. A new legal entity was created in AX2012 right before going live in D365 and we had no problems with that new company and our other companies work fine getting into the General ledger parameters.

I am not exactly sure where that table is located. I did a search and could not find in D365.

Hi,

Try to generate the number sequence from organization administration and check if you are able to open the GL parameter.

If it did not resolve the issue, suggest to open a ticket with MS.
