Unfortunately, there is no settings for this command I believe it is part of the AL extension.

I looked up the extension settings and did find some settings for the alpackage, folder, etc. But root folder is hard coded. You can raise this via GitHub I think or via https://aka.ms/bcideas .
I think it is a good suggestion, so if you have an ID that requires vorting, I will vote for it.

But when I create a new extension with the Command Palette (GO!), it gives a path that I can change.
I woul'd like to change this path by default.

VSCode does not put all the extensions for different projects in one folder. It puts the extensions in the app folder of your project after you build.
