Filter products function on MPOS

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Dear Experts,

I would like to ask you few questions related to Filter products function on MPOS.

I use the Contoso Sandbox (Cloud version), USRT company, Houston store, MPOS.

Q1) There is the Fashion navigation hierarchy:

6330.Fashion-navigation-hierarchy.jpg

Attribute group Dresses was related to the category Dresses.

This is the list of attributes for Dresses:

2766.View-attributes-for-Dresses.jpg

Further question will be related to the Fabric attribute.

This attribute was configured for using on MPOS:

24036.Include-attribute-Fabric.png

I've uploaded successfully all changes to the Houston store.

Now I can use Fabric in Filter products:

5734.Fabric-attribute-on-MPOS.png

But if I select category Watches I expect to not see the Fabric attributes (because it was not related to category Watches).

But I see it:

5808.Fabric-attribute-on-MPOS-for-Watches.jpg

And I can see just one value - Cashmere

This value is default value for attribute Fabric and the category - Dresses:

7065.Fabric-_2D00_-default-value.jpg

Does it have sense to show this attribute with default value for unrelated categories?

Please advice how I can hide this attribute and default value for unrelated categories...

Q2) Next question is related to the system attribute Category (from the attribute group - SharePointProvisionedProductAttributeGroup):

5047.Attribute-_2D00_-Category.jpg

As you can see this attribute was not enabled to use on MPOS.

Despite this we can use it on MPOS:

0474.Category-on-MPOS.jpg

How it was happened? Is it possible to ask - where I can find parameter in AX to switch on/off this attributes for using on MPOS?

Q3) It doesn't related to the Filter product on MPOS.

It relates to the Context search.

As you can see this possibility was enabled in AX for attribute Fabric:

0640.Include-attribute-Fabric.png

But during the searching - MPOS doesn't take into account the values from attribute Fabric (just only system attributes such as Product name, description, Product item, etc).

Please advise what I've missed.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi Dmytro Potapchenko,

Did you find any answer to this?

And if it's possible can you please share the steps to configure Product attributes to be filtered upon POS. Thanks in advance!

I can only see attributes as specifications. Thanks
