We are getting error when upgrading from Dynamics NAV 2016 CU 22 to CU34 via development shell.

DataClassification is not valid property for Field.

Because of this the tables are not upgraded.

Try first a database conversion by opening the old db with the new client.

    Yes done that first.

    After that its coming.

And after that you have this error?

Normally when you upgrade an application to the new platform, existing tables and fields (except for FlowFields and FlowFilters) will automatically be assigned the CustomerContent classification. You can then access the DataClassification property on tables and fields, and change the classification as needed. FlowFields and FlowFilters are assigned the SystemMetadata classification.

Can you show how you are performing the upgrade?

I've had similar issue. You need also to convert the orignal DB, after export the object and it solved this for me.

I've had this issue from 2017 RTM - to CU23.

Hope this solve also your problem.

I had the same issue and it was solved changing my fin.stx and fin.etx in my local languaje folder (ESP) in then RTC folder.

If your files are older than CU you get the error.

Overwrite the files with de files in the Product DVD (DVD\Installers\ES\RTC\PFiles\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\RoleTailored Client\ESP, … or your local language).

Actually it was a simple issue, we were using old  installation development shell i.e. CU27 for upgrading CU22 to CU34.

We uninstalled CU 27, installed the latest build CU34 and then tried the upgrade, and it worked without any issue.

You must use the latest build when upgrading is what done by us.
