Difficulty while saving items in Visual studio

Hello everyone,

I am facing a issue where when I make changes in my D365FO project in Visual Studio some of the objects give error while saving. First a dialog box opens up to save the XML file for that document. once I click save an error pops up "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

Kindly help.

Try closing all unmodified elements first and then the modified ones again.

This simple workaround often solves problems with saving.

Hi Ayush,

Closing and opening the Visual Studio instance has generally helped me in resolving that error if I face the same.

Did you try to restart server and try to build project.

Also can share screen shot.
