Benefits of a system-based financial dimension

Hello.

n AX 2012, the benefit of a system-based financial dimension is to avoid unsync data between a master data table and the dimensions table.

Are there other benefits related for example to reporting, integration or other features in future releases?

My customer is upgrading from AX 2009 to AX 2012 and I wonder whether it worths splitting his Third-party dimension into a Customer dimension and a Vendor dimension (volumes are low and there are no transaction lines with both a customer dimension and a vendor dimension).

Yes, it is agreed system-based financial dimension is good as it avoids the redundancy of data setup

So I suggest please check if all the requirement are met if you split the third-party dimension into customer dimension and Vendor dimension

    I foresee no issue.

Please verify and update with your findings
